Yes, it is time to tee off as the much awaited Farmers Insurance Open is going to take place from 21^st January to 27^th January, 2013 at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla.

Formerly known as the Buick Invitational, the Farmers Insurance Open attracts a large number of golfers and golf enthusiasts.

The likes of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have played at the Farmers Insurance Open and created golf history.

The Farmers Insurance Open will kick off on 21^st  January. Opening Round of the Farmers Insurance Open 2013, North and South Courses will begin at 8:30 am on 24^th January.

Subsequently the second and third round of the tournament will take place on 25^th and 26^th January respectively. On 27^th January, 2013, you will see the final round of the tournament.

Parking

The executive drive parking i.e. Lot B and Lot C i.e. Del Mar Show Park parking lots will be open for the public from Thursday through Sunday. You can get advance parking for $10 per day at Lot B – Executive Drive Parking.

The sponsor, Farmers Insurance have their headquarters in southern California and is a subsidiary of Swiss-based Zurich Financial Services, which is the title sponsor of the PGA Tour stop in New Orleans. The tournament which dates back to 1952 was known as the Buick Invitational Golf tournament since 1992 and the automaker sponsored the game every year till 2009. Last year, Buick filed for bankruptcy and ended its sponsorship when a U.S. bankruptcy court ordered Buick’s parent company, General Motors, to stop sponsoring PGA tournaments.

The event is being organized by the Century Club of San Diego and tickets with their logo should be enough to gain admission to the greens. Last year, Nick Watney rallied from five shots back to capture his second career PGA Tour title here. This year too the tournament will have its share of entertainment for a week and be sure to reserve your San Diego accommodation as soon as possible.
