This year, the prestigious golf tournament is sponsored by the Farmers Insurance group. The 2010 Farmers Insurance Open golf tournament will kick off on January 25th , 2010 and will go on till the 31st of January. This tournament brings together some of the best golfers in the nation for a week of golf and entertainment. Please note that the first day of the event on 25th January is free for everyone. The sponsor, Farmers Insurance have their headquarters in southern California and is a subsidiary of Swiss-based Zurich Financial Services, which is the title sponsor of the PGA Tour stop in New Orleans. The tournament which dates back to 1952 was known as the Buick Invitational Golf tournament since 1992 and the automaker sponsored the game every year till 2009. Last year, Buick filed for bankruptcy and ended its sponsorship when a U.S. bankruptcy court ordered Buick’s parent company, General Motors, to stop sponsoring PGA tournaments.

The event is being organized by the Century Club of San Diego and tickets with their logo should be enough to gain admission to the greens. Last year, Nick Watney rallied from five shots back to capture his second career PGA Tour title here. This year too the tournament will have its share of entertainment for a week and be sure to reserve your San Diego accommodation as soon as possible.

MCAS Miramar Air Show Is Back Again With A Bang

And it promises to be even better this time. This year the excitement is very high as for the first time the Canadian military Jet Demonstration Team, Snowbirds will be performing here with the world-famous U. S. Navy Blue Angels. The other flying teams who will be ruling the sky with their thrilling performances are the Patriots Jet Demonstration Team, the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) demo, the Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier, Air Force F-16 and the Navy’s F-18 E/F Super Hornet!

To enjoy the amazing aerial performances of both military and civilian aviators you need to reach the Marine Corps Air Station at Miramar as early as possible to get the best seat. At Coronado Beach………there is nothing called boredom!

Flanked by the San Diego Bay on the one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, the City of Coronado is home to sprawling beaches and awesome tourist attractions.

Of all its scenic golden beaches, the Coronado Beach located on the ocean side of Coronado Island is a perfect beach to spend an entire day sunbathing under a bright big umbrella and watching the orange sun go down across the horizon.

With its widest expanse of sand, Coronado Beach has plenty of space for kids and adults to play ball, fly a kite, build sand castles or simply stroll or run around on the sand. The Beach is an ideal place for those who prefer water sports such as swimming, tide pool exploration, surfing, fishing or sailing.

For those who prefer to stay out of the water, Coronado Beach offers plenty of other activities. You can bike, rollerblade, fly kites flying, play beach volleyball or shop. And whenever you are hungry, indulge yourself in a variety of delicious foods available at the nearby shops.
